Unpredictable

Hello All,

Hope your weekend was spectacular! I had a wonderfully AWESOME weekend! Not that I did much, I spent a lot of time with Jordan, but it was and is always great to spend the week with the coolest kid on the planet. Today’s blog title is brought to you by Jamie Foxx (a talented musician, comedian, and Oscar winning Actor). So with that, I will jump right into it.

Erika’s 10 Things I Think I Think
1. Can’t believe that the school year is nearly over. Jordan is completing his first year of kindergarten and I am ecstatic. Trips me out a little bit sometimes when he spells or says something that he just read. Especially off of my desk. Have to be careful now. I spelled B-I-T-C-H and not only did he read it but he said it out loud. So um…yeah. No more of that.
2. Found a new show on Hulu, Legend of the Seeker and it’s like a more fleshed out version of Lord of the Rings. Very mythical very cool one hour show. I am addicted, I can’t lie. Stupid Hulu…Hulu Pimp Obligation complete.
3. It is stupid to see that it is already 87 degrees outside at 5:32 a.m. pst.
4. Desperate Housewives season finale was pretty good, although I think that the ending pissed me off a little too much. I mean c’mon! You don’t end a show with a cliffhanger like that…whoa what? I am sorry? That’s what all the shows are doing this year. I haven’t watched 24’s Season Finale but I am sure it will piss me off in the same manner.
5. It’s amazing to see people still getting caught by speed cameras here in AZ considering they have 3 distinct signs. 1 Sign is a mile away, 1 sign is a ½ mile away, and the last sign is 300 ft away from the speed camera. We live in a society of idiots.
6. South Park once had an episode that stated ¼ of society is retarded. I wholeheartedly agree with that.
7. July just got busier for travel. 1 month, 5 trips, maybe six. By August I will need a vacation from July.
8. Have the ABC Disney Fellowship writing deadline looming. I have written a “one off” (an episode that can be inserted into any season of any existing tv show) episode of Eureka. It’s a sci-fi show on the Sci-Fi channel and it was fairly easy to write. Now time for re-writes. It’s a 50k internship, lasts a year long, and I would have to move to L.A.
9. Since my blog is no longer private…I will pig latin this. Ossby = iotidy. Screw it. My boss is to idiot as snow is to Alaska.

10. There I said it. This…is shaping up to be a long week. I will need a straightjacket before it’s all over.

Rachael Real Moment - Yesterday was as an emotional day as I’ve had in months. Can’t explain why or what caused it, but I was teary eyed all day yesterday. I wish I knew what caused it or why I felt that way, but everything made me want to burst into tears. So finally last night I was able to let it all out. So with other things I am having a biopsy in the first week of June (June 2nd to be exact) and will be immobile for a few days. I have a follow-up appointment on June 15th and probably surgery again sometime in July. Yes July will be a busy month…again.

Pete thought of the day – I have to be more guarded now. I am hiring “Guards” to safeguard my life and my future. You see I have had a few intellectual properties stolen and by stolen I mean hijacked and made into full length movies. So now I won’t be leaking any movie ideas nor doing online submissions anymore for my work. Hollywood will have to come up with their own original ideas OR buy mine from now on.

Mindy Moment – 4th of July weekend in Seattle. Wow, that will be a WILD weekend. I haven’t spent a ton of time in Seattle in a while and this one will be a doozy. I hope I get to go to SafeCo field, haven’t done that in a while either. Hell it's a perfect start to an awesome month of travel.

Julie Happy Thought of The Day – It feels SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good when you are able to get to the end of a story or something that you’ve written or worked on for a while. I closed out two of my written works this week as I have started two more. Going to be a good 7 months and ought to steamroll into the next year on a high note.

Jordan Quote of the week – “It’s a moustache kinda day” This after church on Saturday and it was hilarious, which prompted us to take the photos of us in Our moustaches! This just contributed to one of the best weekends we had in a while. Video games, the mall, Gameworks, bike riding, swimming, watching Bed Time stories, cooking breakfast together. Just an overall blast. I am privileged to have a wonderful son.

Misty Movie Review – So I saw two movies in the last few days and here is my review of them both.

Obsessed – O.k. So I saw the movie. Idris Elba is one of my new favorite actors (The Wire on HBO..DOPE…HELLO!) and Beyonce, top 25 hottie, and Ali Larter (Top 25 as well). Well the movie had me all the way up until the last 10 minutes. First of all Beyonce in a fight…HA! The probability of that really happening is as likely as Jordan becoming President in the next 30 minutes (although if he were President in 30 minutes, man we would have some fun, the world would be our playground!!) And I would have to say that the fight scenes were terrible. Although Ali Larter in Underwear…very appealing. The ending pissed me off more than anything and subsequently ruined the movie for me. So with that I give it 2.5 stars and I am demanding a refund.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past – Two years ago I wrote a book called…My Unfunny Valentine…about a guy that is visited by three ghosts and is forced to live up to his player ways and to get back in with the girl he loved as a child. Now in 2009 it’s a feature film…only I am not attached as a writer or anything at all. Swear to the man upstairs I wrote it. But I have to admit…it was DOPE! I loved every second of it. I mean Matthew McConaughey was masterful in this…AND he kept his shirt on the entire time. Michael Douglas was a great actor but in my mind he just stepped up his persona in my mind. He was AWESOME in this movie. I love Jennifer Garner and many of the other actresses and actors in the movie. I hate to admit it but it was a well thought out and awesome movie, I should know…I wrote the book. I give this movie 4.5 stars and I will definitely want to see it again.

JJ song of the week - Like I said last week, VH-1 and I are homies, only before 7a.m. I saw this song 1234 by the Plain White T's and I loved it. Hope you do as well.

Heather Joke of the Day“The Accident”

A woman and man get into a car accident. Both of their cars are totally demolished, but amazingly neither of them is hurt. After they crawl out of the wreckage, the woman says, "Wow, look at our cars - there's nothing left! Thank God we are all right. This must be a sign from Him that we should be friends and not try to pin the blame on each other." The man replies, "Oh yes, I agree with you completely." The woman points to a bottle on the ground and says, "And here's another miracle. Somehow this bottle of Scotch from my back seat didn't break. Surely God wants us to drink this Scotch and celebrate our good fortune." Then she hands the bottle to the man. The man nods his head in agreement, opens it, and chugs about a third of the bottle to calm his nerves. He then hands it back to the woman. The woman takes the bottle, immediately puts the cap back on, and hands it back to the man. The man asks, "Aren't you having any?" The woman replies, "No. I think I'll just wait for the police..."
