Revolution

Hello All,

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I am moving my blog from Myspace to Blogger, even though it seems as if it takes quite a bit longer. So my blog titles are usually taken after song titles, depending on my mood at that moment. Today’s title is brought to you by
Kirk Franklin’s Revolution. So with that, I will jump right into it…

Erika's 10 Things I think I think -

  1. I love random signs...especially when it pertains to Ninjas.
  2. I have a huge crush...on Hulu. Yes keeping the Pimping of Hulu alive...plus I applied for a job there...so it only makes sense.
  3. Family Guy is really, really funny lately.
  4. Been really nostalgic lately, not sure what that is about. Poor Jordan is suffering the wrath of it though. Of course he loves it when we are super close and hanging out.
  5. I LOVE the NFL Draft, where else can a team change its fortunes and piss off it’s fanbase all in one fell swoop (Raiders for the latter)
  6. Redemption lost last night…however its all good. We played tough against a good team. We will prevail in the playoffs.
  7. I met Bill Lumbergh…a.k.a. Gary Cole at this Bagle Place in Hollywood on Sunday. What a nice man to talk to!
  8. Met Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, Sarah Marshall) and although I may have come off as a nerd, you make a girl laugh, you’re in there like swimwear. I told her she was #1 on my list of top 5 hottest Hollywood starlets AND that I loved her on Heroes and Veronica Mars. Plus some other assorted jokes, which ended with her saying “That’s sweet and I’m funny.” Either way it was priceless to see someone you’ve had a crush on and not come off like a douchebag. Plus she was nice, smelled wonderful, and was sooooooooooooooooooooo pretty.
  9. Lies…why tell them? The truth eventually comes out…and often times with dire circumstances. So what have we learned? It’s better to tell the truth.
  10. I hope they don’t cancel Chuck. It’s such a wonderful show and it just is getting better all the time. Oh guess where you can find it? Hulu :)

Self Realization and the outcome - Sometimes all it takes is a subtle thought or gesture to realize just where you are in life. I am at a place of content. Really I am. Yes the movie was platooned by some people, but things all work out for a reason. I know that and believe that in my heart. So starting May 1st, I've devised a plan. First...cable's gone. Not that I am a big t.v. watcher, but it's leaving. I am going to spend May writing, and shooting a lot of shorts. I think I can do at least 10 in May and perfect some techniques I've been wanting to work on. Second...I realized I'm turning 30 next year, not that I am freaking out, but it is in my mind and I remember some things I said I wanted to do by the time I was 30. Lastly....being happy by doing all the things that one can possibly do within reason to make themselves happy.

Pete Thought of The Day - Not sure what the hell is going on the last week, but with all of my friends, I hope and pray that each of you find the happiness in life that has been lacking and that each of you find some sort of middle ground. Life is too short to be unhappy AND it's too short to fight. Take it from someone that has been where you are (geez...sound old). Really think long and hard about the decisions that you make and think about the relationships you have/had. They are not as bad as you think and some of you will regret your decisions....believe me when I say that.

Mindy Moment - Since my IPOD crapped out, I had to buy a new one...and I am thankful that the crappy IPOD died. This is the best thing I have purchased in a while and I freaking LOVE it. The apps, the music, the movies...it's entertainment at your fingertips!

Julie Happy Thought of the Day - Although I love Grey's Anatomy...it's really been hard to watch it the last few episodes. I mean the Izzy cancer thing for two reasons. 1. She's my favorite member of Grey's outdistancing the ditzy/dumb/idiot/self centered Meredity Grey by about 3 football fields. 2. Because of the sick cancer IV stuff they showed. It brings back some of the worst memories and I swear I can feel exactly what it was like to be under the IV. So although I love the show...I think I may have to fast forward through those parts which sucks because I am going to miss something good probably. Damnit.

Coming Attractions - So here's what's on tap this week:

Today - I am in the office. Damn...this place sucks ass. Tonight cleaning up my place. Working out, writing.

Wednesday - Repeat of Tuesday. Haven't been in the office on a Wednesday in like two years. Working out, possibly having guests over. Ought.

Thursday - In the office AGAIN! Sucks. 3 consecutive days, that's a first. Going to see Wolverine at Midnight. Writing, taking a nap.

Friday - Finally working from home. Trying to blog...going back to my two day per week blogging. Picking up Jordan and having a fun night!

The End - of the blog is here. I hope that you all had a wonderful and great and awesome week and that you have a fun and wonderful weekend! Please be safe. Thanks so much for reading, I love you, and God Bless!
